Five horses started
for the £60 purse. Trial, Merry Andrew, Sterling, Valiant, and a
mare belonging to Colonel Armstrong. Trial won the purse.

in the race to-day-Smoker, Merry Andrew, Sampson, and a little roan, belonging
to Joseph Richardson. Smoker won.
