Being unable to walk, I took a ride into the City; took this opportunity to call upon Miss Betsy Grim, whom I had not visited since I was first taken ill. She had the day before gone to make a visit in the Country. The Family wondered at my so long absence, but concluded I was sick. Saw Lieut. Webb, who was doing Duty with about of the Company on board the Whale Boats; he desired me to write home to acquaint his Wife of his welfare, which I did the next Day.
