Journal of Sergeant Roger Lamb, April 30, 1776

The fleet sailing at the rate of six miles an hour: a serjeant [sic] had an altercation with his wife while they were sitting at breakfast, in consequence of which he got up in a rage, leaped overboard and was seen no more.
