The wind strong at N. W. and running at the rate of seven miles an hour, one of the recruits standing on the forecastle was so provoked by his comrades, that in a fit of rage he jumped overboard, uttering at the same time dreadful curses upon them. He was swallowed up by the great deep in a moment!
